To help neutralize the acid-forming effect of coffee on your pH and to lessen it’s harmful effects on your kidneys, here’s an Ayurvedic spice blend to grind up with your fresh roasted coffee beans (roast the beans yourself, grind & steep immediately for a ZERO acid effect!).  Also, be sure to flush each cup of coffee you drink out of your kidneys afterward with at least 10 oz. water. Okay, here’s the recipe:

Grind ½ cup fresh roasted coffee beans (or at least beans kept fresh by refrigeration), 2 raw almonds, 3 whole cloves, 3 whole cardamom pods, 1 stick cinnamon, and 2 star anise pods.

Another way to de-acidify coffee is add 1 lb fresh ground, organic coffee to 8 cups water in a glass bowl for 16 hrs, covered with a dish towel in a cool area.

Then strain the dark liquid into a jar (it’ll keep in a tightly sealed jar, refrigerated, for up to 2 weeks).

During this time you can add 1-2 Tbsp of this concentrated, de-acidified coffee extract per 8 oz of hot water.
