A few weeks ago, December 16th, 2010, Alison from Solstice attended the Pismo Beach Chamber of Commerce Open House at Utopia Bakery. Utopia is located at 950 Price Street in Pismo Beach. Pictured are owners Scott and MJ Lenhoff. They own this bakery as well as the one at 2900 Broad Street in San Luis Obispo. They recently acquired Utopia in SLO and decided to expand to Pismo Beach as a result of requests from South County customers. They are the only cafe selling Peet's Coffee in the 5-Cities area. Alison's review? "Scott and MJ quickly got a Soy Peppermint Mocha in my hand upon my arrival, made by one of their talented baristas: it was fabulous!" They also had mini-cupcakes to sample and attendees got a full tour of the cafe including a hidden back patio that many never new existed! Alison had a great time chatting with Scott and MJ--they are very warm and friendly business owners. Stop in for fresh baked bread, pastries, and delicious Peet's coffee.
